Being a family man, I own a van, which I’m not exactly proud of but it gets my family where we need to go, and since I drive a van and being a law abiding citizen, I also have van insurance.
Recently I’d been watching television and seeing a lot of insurance commercials about saving money and getting discounts.
I realized that I’d had the same insurance rate for the past few years and I’d never gotten any kind of discounts or anything like that, so I decided I wanted to check this out.

My first step to getting my lower and cheapest van insurance quote ever, was going online to Google and searching for an auto insurance company. When I found one that I new that was in my area, I went on to their website and clicked on get a quote. If London is where you live, you could check for van insurance quotes UK or something similar for wherever you live.
I had to gather my insurance claims history and my drivers license so that I could enter in the information that I needed and selected the level of coverage I wanted.
After the next page loaded I was surprised to find that my rate was much lower but that I had never received a discount of any kind. So of course I immediately printed out the quote I had gotten and took it to be changed at the office right away, threatening I would change coverage if they didn’t.
The point is here folks that, that I have wanted to make sure I was getting the best van insurance quote possible to be saving money and that these insurers will not willingly give you the rate you deserve.
This process is up to you to research and bring to their attention, because they’re certainly not going to give you a lower rate of their own free will if they can avoid it.

A word of caution here though, vans are great candidates for modifications like adding additional van seats and windows, an extra large engine, and alloy wheels. If you do decide to modify your van, you must get a special modified van insurance based on the modifications you have made to your van.
